C\u00f3mo funciona<\/p>\n<p>Investigadores de la <b>Universidad de California en Los \u00c1ngeles (UCLA)<\/b> descubrieron que, tras una lesi\u00f3n, los <a title=\"https:\/\/www.infobae.com\/tag\/rinones\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.infobae.com\/tag\/rinones\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-mrf-link=\"https:\/\/www.infobae.com\/tag\/rinones\/\"><b>ri\u00f1ones<\/b><\/a><b> da\u00f1ados<\/b> producen una prote\u00edna llamada <b>ENPP1<\/b> que interrumpe la producci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda y altera la funci\u00f3n celular en la zona afectada, lo que dificulta la reparaci\u00f3n del tejido. tambi\u00e9n les administraron f\u00e1rmacos que causan da\u00f1o renal. En esas pruebas compararon ratones normales con ratones con genes inactivados para la producci\u00f3n de ENPP1.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"Links inline\">Los an\u00e1lisis de sangre mostraron que todos los ratones presentaban aumentos significativos en la creatinina s\u00e9rica, el nitr\u00f3geno ureico en sangre (BUN) y la cistatina C, indicadores de disfunci\u00f3n renal. Sus ri\u00f1ones no sufrieron tantos da\u00f1os y las c\u00e9lulas renales proliferaron m\u00e1s\u201d, <\/b>afirm\u00f3 Deb, profesora de medicina y biolog\u00eda molecular, celular y del desarrollo en la UCLA, y miembro del Centro Eli y Edythe Broad de Medicina Regenerativa e Investigaci\u00f3n con C\u00e9lulas Madre. \u201c<b>Descubrimos que los mismos mecanismos que observamos en el coraz\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n se aplicaban al ri\u00f1\u00f3n. <\/b>Tras la lesi\u00f3n, las c\u00e9lulas sanas alrededor del \u00e1rea da\u00f1ada intentaban proliferar, pero esta \u00e1rea enviaba se\u00f1ales metab\u00f3licas que imped\u00edan que el ri\u00f1\u00f3n se regenerara y reparara eficazmente\u201d.<\/p>\n<h2
