El l\u00edder de Hezbollah, Naim Qassem<\/b>, amenaz\u00f3 este martes con convertir el campo de batalla en \u201cun infierno\u201d<\/b> para las fuerzas israel\u00edes y reclam\u00f3 sustituir las negociaciones directas entre L\u00edbano e Israel por un formato \u201cindirecto\u201d<\/b>, a dos d\u00edas de que se celebre en Washington una nueva ronda de conversaciones entre ambos pa\u00edses.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo nos someteremos ni nos rendiremos, y continuaremos defendiendo al L\u00edbano<\/b> y a su pueblo por mucho que pase el tiempo y por grandes que sean los sacrificios, que son menores que el precio de la rendici\u00f3n\u201d, afirm\u00f3 Qassem en una carta abierta dirigida a la c\u00fapula de su movimiento y difundida por el canal Al-Manar.<\/i><\/p>\n

El l\u00edder chi\u00ed llam\u00f3 a \u201cretirarse de las negociaciones directas, que solo suponen beneficios para Israel<\/b> y concesiones gratuitas<\/b> por parte de las autoridades libanesas\u201d, y propuso en su lugar conversaciones indirectas \u201cdonde las cartas fuertes est\u00e1n en manos del negociador liban\u00e9s\u201d. Hezbollah no participa en las conversaciones en curso entre L\u00edbano e Israel<\/b>, cuya tercera ronda<\/b> est\u00e1 prevista para el jueves y viernes en Washington.<\/p>\n

El desarme, l\u00ednea roja<\/h2>\n

Qassem fue tajante sobre el principal punto de fricci\u00f3n: el desarme de Hezbollah<\/b>. \u201cNadie fuera del L\u00edbano tiene relaci\u00f3n con las armas, la resistencia ni con la organizaci\u00f3n de los asuntos internos del Estado liban\u00e9s. Esta es una cuesti\u00f3n interna libanesa y no forma parte de las negociaciones con el enemigo<\/b>\u201d, afirm\u00f3.<\/p>\n

El desarme del grupo es el principal objetivo declarado de Israel y tambi\u00e9n una demanda del propio Estado liban\u00e9s<\/b>. La semana pasada, el portavoz del Departamento de Estado estadounidense, Tommy Pigott<\/b>, subray\u00f3 que Washington considera que \u201cla paz integral depende del pleno restablecimiento de la autoridad estatal libanesa y el desarme completo<\/b> de Hezbollah”.<\/p>\n

Qassem plante\u00f3 en cambio una hoja de ruta propia<\/b>: primero el fin de los ataques israel\u00edes<\/b> y la retirada de las tropas del sur del L\u00edbano<\/b>; despu\u00e9s, un debate interno liban\u00e9s <\/b>sobre una \u201cestrategia de seguridad nacional\u201d que podr\u00eda incluir a las filas de su propio movimiento. Reconoci\u00f3 no obstante que \u201cla responsabilidad de negociar para alcanzar los objetivos soberanos del L\u00edbano sigue siendo responsabilidad de las autoridades libanesas\u201d y expres\u00f3 disposici\u00f3n a \u201ccooperar\u201d con Beirut.<\/b><\/p>\n

Tregua violada y balance de v\u00edctimas<\/h2>\n

El alto el fuego, vigente desde el 17 de abril<\/b>, est\u00e1 siendo violado a diario por ambas partes y expira en una semana.
