La bola de fuego tendr\u00eda unas 24 veces el tama\u00f1o del Sol en el cielo, lo suficiente para incendiar \u00e1rboles y plantas en Edimburgo\u201d, explica Nicholson.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"bbc-19j92fr ebmt73l0\" dir=\"ltr\">\n<p class=\"bbc-hhl7in e17g058b0\" dir=\"ltr\">A continuaci\u00f3n se habr\u00eda producido\u00a0<b>una explosi\u00f3n de aire extremadamente fuerte<\/b>, antes de una sacudida s\u00edsmica del tama\u00f1o de un terremoto de magnitud 7.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"bbc-19j92fr ebmt73l0\" dir=\"ltr\">\n<p class=\"bbc-hhl7in e17g058b0\" dir=\"ltr\">Enormes cantidades de agua salieron probablemente del fondo marino, y m\u00e1s tarde volvieron a caer en cascada, creando huellas \u00fanicas en el suelo.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"bbc-19j92fr ebmt73l0\" dir=\"ltr\">\n<p class=\"bbc-hhl7in e17g058b0\" dir=\"ltr\">No es habitual que dos asteroides tan grandes impacten en nuestro planeta con tan poco tiempo de diferencia.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"bbc-19j92fr ebmt73l0\" dir=\"ltr\">\n<p class=\"bbc-hhl7in e17g058b0\" dir=\"ltr\">Los investigadores no saben por qu\u00e9 estas dos rocas contra la Tierra en periodos cercanos.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"bbc-19j92fr ebmt73l0\" dir=\"ltr\">\n<h2 id=\"Puede-ocurrir-de-nuevo\" class=\"bbc-1f03ibc eglt09e0\" tabindex=\"-1\">\u00bfPuede ocurrir de nuevo?<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"bbc-19j92fr ebmt73l0\" dir=\"ltr\">\n<p class=\"bbc-hhl7in e17g058b0\" dir=\"ltr\">Lo m\u00e1s cerca que el ser humano ha estado de un acontecimiento de esta magnitud fue el choque de Tunguska, en 1908, cuando un asteroide de 50 metros explot\u00f3 en los cielos de Siberia.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"bbc-19j92fr ebmt73l0\" dir=\"ltr\">\n<p class=\"bbc-hhl7in e17g058b0\" dir=\"ltr\">El asteroide Nadir ten\u00eda aproximadamente el tama\u00f1o de\u00a0<b>Bennu<\/b>, que actualmente es\u00a0<b>el objeto m\u00e1s peligroso que orbita cerca de la Tierra<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"bbc-19j92fr ebmt73l0\" dir=\"ltr\">\n<p class=\"bbc-hhl7in e17g058b0\" dir=\"ltr\">Seg\u00fan la NASA, la fecha m\u00e1s probable en que Bennu podr\u00eda chocar con la Tierra es el<b>\u00a024 de septiembre de 2182<\/b>.
