El sindicato\u00a0Manos Limpias<\/b>\u00a0ha presentado una denuncia ante la\u00a0Corte Penal Internacional (CPI)<\/b>\u00a0contra el\u00a0expresidente del Gobierno espa\u00f1ol,\u00a0<\/b>Jos\u00e9 Luis Rodr\u00edguez Zapatero<\/b><\/a>, acus\u00e1ndolo de\u00a0delitos de lesa humanidad<\/b>\u00a0por su asociaci\u00f3n con el presidente venezolano, Nicol\u00e1s Maduro. La denuncia ha sido presentada este lunes, seg\u00fan los documentos a los que ha tenido acceso\u00a0The Objective<\/i>.<\/p>\n

Manos Limpias argumenta que, desde 2017, hay informes internacionales que han documentado\u00a0graves violaciones a los derechos humanos en Venezuela<\/b>, se\u00f1alando un\u00a0deterioro significativo de las instituciones democr\u00e1ticas<\/b>\u00a0y\u00a0abusos sistem\u00e1ticos<\/b>\u00a0por parte del r\u00e9gimen de Maduro<\/b><\/a>. En un informe de diciembre de 2017, la Comisi\u00f3n Interamericana de Derechos Humanos ya destacaba estas preocupaciones, seg\u00fan ha indicado el sindicato en su escrito.<\/p>\n

Contexto previo a la presentaci\u00f3n de la denuncia contra Zapatero<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

En mayo de 2018, un grupo de expertos de la\u00a0Organizaci\u00f3n de los Estados Americanos (OEA<\/b>) pudo corroborar, a partir de testimonios de v\u00edctimas, que el gobierno venezolano estaba empleando un\u00a0sistema de<\/b>\u00a0ataques generalizados y sistem\u00e1ticos<\/b><\/a>\u00a0contra los opositores del r\u00e9gimen<\/b>. Estos ataques inclu\u00edan detenciones arbitrarias, ejecuciones extrajudiciales, torturas, y desapariciones forzadas, tal y como aseguran los denunciantes.<\/p>\n

El Alto Comisionado de las Naciones Unidas para los Derechos Humanos (OACDH)<\/b>\u00a0tambi\u00e9n emiti\u00f3 un informe en 2018, donde se documentaban abusos como el uso excesivo de la fuerza, la falta de acceso a servicios b\u00e1sicos, y otras violaciones desde al menos 2014, describiendo la situaci\u00f3n de Venezuela como una\u00a0\u201cespiral descendente sin fin a la vista\u201d<\/b>.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Los l\u00edderes de varios pa\u00edses latinoamericanos y Canad\u00e1 solicitaron en septiembre de 2018 a la CPI investigar posibles cr\u00edmenes de lesa humanidad en Venezuela. A esta solicitud se sum\u00f3 en 2023 un\u00a0informe de la Comisi\u00f3n Interamericana de Derechos Humanos<\/b>\u00a0que detallaba c\u00f3mo este pa\u00eds hab\u00eda sustituido el Estado de derechos por una autocracia, con graves violaciones a los derechos humanos.<\/p>\n

Qu\u00e9 dice el documento de Manos Limpias<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

Seg\u00fan ha relatado el sindicato Manos Limpias: \u201cRodr\u00edguez Zapatero, pese a los informes internacionales sobre la crisis en Venezuela, ha sido acusado de\u00a0recibir beneficios del r\u00e9gimen<\/b>, como la explotaci\u00f3n de una mina de oro y contratos petroleros, lo que ha generado controversia y denuncias p\u00fablicas, incluso dentro de su propio partido en Espa\u00f1a, que contrasta con la postura cr\u00edtica de otros l\u00edderes socialistas, como el expresidente Felipe Gonz\u00e1lez\u201d.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s, tambi\u00e9n a\u00f1aden que, en un contexto pol\u00edtico \u201ctras unas elecciones en las que Nicol\u00e1s Maduro fue derrotado por el opositor Edmundo Gonz\u00e1lez Urrutia (…) el r\u00e9gimen bolivariano se neg\u00f3 a reconocer la derrota, recrudeciendo la represi\u00f3n contra los opositores mediante detenciones y torturas\u201d. En el caso de la acusaci\u00f3n a Zapatero, ha sido \u201cse\u00f1alado como un aliado del r\u00e9gimen<\/b>, ha sido acusado de presionar a la oposici\u00f3n y de actuar a favor de Maduro en la escena internacional\u201d.<\/p>\n

Estas acusaciones se enmarcan dentro de un contexto m\u00e1s amplio de denuncias y condenas internacionales contra las acciones del r\u00e9gimen venezolano. Seg\u00fan el citado medio, Manos Limpias solicita que\u00a0la CPI inicie una investigaci\u00f3n formal contra Zapatero por su implicaci\u00f3n y apoyo al r\u00e9gimen de Maduro<\/b>.<\/p>\n
