Wiz ha puesto fin a las conversaciones con la empresa matriz de Google, Alphabet, sobre una propuesta de acuerdo de US$ 23.000 millones en la que la startup israel\u00ed de ciberseguridad se habr\u00eda convertido en la mayor adquisici\u00f3n del gigante tecnol\u00f3gico estadounidense, seg\u00fan una nota de Wiz vista por Reuters.<\/p>\n

El consejero delegado de Wiz, Assaf Rappaport, dijo que la empresa se centrar\u00eda ahora en una oferta p\u00fablica inicial, como hab\u00eda planeado anteriormente.<\/p>\n

“Es duro decir que no a ofertas que te hacen sentir humilde, pero con nuestro excepcional equipo, me siento seguro de tomar esa decisi\u00f3n”, dijo Rappaport en el memorando, refiri\u00e9ndose a la oferta de adquisici\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Ni Alphabet (GOOGL<\/a>) ni Wiz han reconocido oficialmente haber mantenido conversaciones. La nota de Wiz no nombraba a Google ni a Alphabet.<\/p>\n

Google no respondi\u00f3 de inmediato a una solicitud de Reuters, mientras que Wiz declin\u00f3 hacer comentarios.<\/p>\n

CNN inform\u00f3 a principios de este mes que Alphabet estaba en conversaciones avanzadas para comprar Wiz por unos US$ 23.000 millones, citando a una persona familiarizada con el asunto.<\/p>\n

Las conversaciones entre\u00a0Google y Wiz<\/a>\u00a0comenzaron despu\u00e9s de que la empresa recaudara US$ 1.000 millones de inversores de capital riesgo a principios de este a\u00f1o, seg\u00fan la fuente. Esa ronda de financiaci\u00f3n hab\u00eda valorado a Wiz en US$ 12.000 millones.<\/p>\n

Wiz ofrece soluciones de ciberseguridad basadas en la nube que ayudan a las empresas a identificar y eliminar riesgos cr\u00edticos en plataformas en la nube.<\/p>\n

La decisi\u00f3n de Wiz de cancelar el acuerdo supondr\u00e1 un rev\u00e9s para Google, que ha estado invirtiendo en su infraestructura de nube y centr\u00e1ndose en captar clientes para el negocio de la nube, que gener\u00f3 m\u00e1s de US$ 33.000 millones en ingresos el a\u00f1o pasado.<\/p>\n

Es el segundo golpe reciente para Alphabet en sus esfuerzos de fusiones y adquisiciones, despu\u00e9s de que supuestamente decidiera\u00a0abandonar un acuerdo por la empresa de software<\/a>\u00a0de marketing online HubSpot.<\/p>\n

En marzo de 2022,\u00a0Alphabet compr\u00f3 la empresa de ciberseguridad Mandiant<\/a>\u00a0por US$ 5.400 millones como parte de su impulso para ayudar a las empresas a afrontar mejor las ciberamenazas y reforzar su negocio de computaci\u00f3n en la nube.<\/p>\n
