“Est\u00e1 dos del mundo (en el r\u00e1nking ATP), tampoco se puede exigir a un jugador de 20 a\u00f1os que gane siempre”, dijo el ex n\u00famero tres mundial y capit\u00e1n de la selecci\u00f3n de Espa\u00f1a en la Copa Davis en una rueda de prensa en R\u00edo de Janeiro.<\/p>\n

“Carlos ha jugado el \u00faltimo a\u00f1o y medio a un grand\u00edsimo nivel, ha ganado dos Grand Slam, un Master 1000. Tambi\u00e9n es cierto que es una progresi\u00f3n: (al principio) no juegas con tanta presi\u00f3n porque acabas de empezar. Alcaraz ha tenido un comienzo de temporada complicado, al que se suma una sequ\u00eda de t\u00edtulos iniciada despu\u00e9s de su victoria en Wimbledon en julio pasado.<\/p>\n

Cay\u00f3 en cuartos de final del Abierto de Australia en enero, en semifinales del ATP 250 de Buenos Aires el s\u00e1bado y se retir\u00f3 en primera ronda del ATP 500 de R\u00edo el martes por un esguince en el tobillo derecho, que lo tendr\u00e1 de baja “algunos d\u00edas”, seg\u00fan dijo.<\/p>\n

Ferrer llama a la calma:<\/h2>\n

El andar irregular tiene lugar en momentos en que el italiano Jannik Sinner, campe\u00f3n en Australia, se acerca al segundo puesto del escalaf\u00f3n mundial.<\/p>\n

“No se puede ganar todo, no recuerdo tampoco a Rafa (Nadal), a Roger (Federer) o (Novak) Djokovic ganar todo con esa edad. Tambi\u00e9n ten\u00edan momentos m\u00e1s cr\u00edticos, y es una evoluci\u00f3n, una madurez. Son jugadores diferentes y Carlos har\u00e1 historia. No s\u00e9 a qu\u00e9 nivel, pero en Espa\u00f1a ser\u00e1 el segundo mejor de la historia en nuestro deporte”, afirm\u00f3 Ferrer.<\/p>\n

“\u00c9l es inteligente, es consciente y evoluciona, por eso digo que es un jugador especial, de la talla de Rafa, Roger o Novak”, apunt\u00f3 el ahora entrenador, de 41 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n
