Poco a poco se han ido descubriendo algunos de los secretos para\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.infobae.com\/espana\/2023\/09\/23\/los-5-alimentos-antiinflamatorios-que-ayudan-a-prevenir-enfermedades-como-la-diabetes-o-el-cancer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-mrf-link=\"https:\/\/www.infobae.com\/espana\/2023\/09\/23\/los-5-alimentos-antiinflamatorios-que-ayudan-a-prevenir-enfermedades-como-la-diabetes-o-el-cancer\/\">vivir mejor<\/a>\u00a0y durante m\u00e1s tiempo a trav\u00e9s de estudios de los h\u00e1bitos de las poblaciones m\u00e1s longevas del mundo. Uno de estos lugares es Okinawa, una peque\u00f1a isla japonesa de unos 1.200 kil\u00f3metros cuadrados situada en el mar de China Oriental. Sus habitantes gozan de\u00a0<b>una de las esperanzas de vida m\u00e1s altas del mundo<\/b>\u00a0ya que la mayor\u00eda de ellos llegan a superar los 90 a\u00f1os y muchos llegan al umbral de los 100 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p>La alta esperanza de vida de estos habitantes se atribuyen a varios factores como\u00a0<b>la dieta, la vida social y la gen\u00e9tica<\/b>, seg\u00fan ha apuntado a\u00a0<i>National Geographic<\/i>\u00a0Craig Willcox, profesor de salud p\u00fablica y gerontolog\u00eda en la Universidad Internacional de Okinawa, que estudia la salud, psicolog\u00eda e integraci\u00f3n social y econ\u00f3mica de las personas ancianas. \u201cAproximadamente\u00a0<b>dos tercios de la longevidad est\u00e1n relacionados con la dieta y el estilo de vida<\/b>, el resto es gen\u00e9tica\u201d, asegura Willcox.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"header headline-class-h2\">La comida es medicina<\/h2>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"Links inline\">Los habitantes de la isla siguen\u00a0<b>una alimentaci\u00f3n espec\u00edfica con alimentos conocidos por su gran valor nutricional<\/b>\u00a0como el pescado, que se come al menos tres veces por semana. Adem\u00e1s, incluyen como m\u00ednimo cinco porciones de fruta y verduras al d\u00eda, as\u00ed como patatas dulces, mel\u00f3n y algas marinas, alimentos que, seg\u00fan Willcox, reducen la inflamaci\u00f3n en el cuerpo y tienen efectos antiedad.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"Links inline\">Al contrario del resto de la poblaci\u00f3n japonesa, los habitantes de Okinawa\u00a0<b>consumen muy poco arroz<\/b>\u00a0y optan m\u00e1s por los vegetales o alimentos hechos a base de soja.
