Ciudad de Panam\u00e1.<\/em>\u00a0El gobierno de Panam\u00e1 anunci\u00f3 este viernes que comenzar\u00e1 a deportar a los migrantes que ingresan al pa\u00eds por la inh\u00f3spita selva del Dari\u00e9n, en la frontera con Colombia, con el fin de frenar la ola migratoria rumbo a Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n

“Dentro de nuestras capacidades y presupuesto incrementaremos las acciones para ir paulatinamente y progresivamente aumentando las deportaciones y expulsiones” de migrantes que ingresen de forma irregular al pa\u00eds, se\u00f1al\u00f3 la directora nacional de Migraci\u00f3n, Samira Gozaine, en rueda de prensa.<\/p>\n

La frontera natural del Dari\u00e9n, de 266 km de largo y 575 mil hect\u00e1reas de superficie, se ha convertido en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os en un corredor para los migrantes que, desde Sudam\u00e9rica, tratan de llegar a Estados Unidos a trav\u00e9s de Am\u00e9rica Central y M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan datos oficiales, en lo que va de a\u00f1o m\u00e1s de 348 mil personas han cruzado el Dari\u00e9n, pese a que Estados Unidos ha advertido de que no permitir\u00e1 ingresar a su territorio a quienes entren de manera irregular a Panam\u00e1.<\/p>\n

De ese total, seg\u00fan Gozaine, desde abril las autoridades paname\u00f1as han deportado a 452 personas, una cifra \u00ednfima.<\/p>\n

Las medidas para contener la ola migratoria, que rigen a partir de esta fecha, “se har\u00e1n para todas aquellas personas que permanezcan de manera ilegal o pretendan permanecer de manera ilegal en el territorio” paname\u00f1o, advirti\u00f3.<\/p>\n

Con este fin, el gobierno paname\u00f1o est\u00e1 preparando diversas aeronaves y est\u00e1 en proceso de contrataci\u00f3n de vuelos ch\u00e1rter para la deportaci\u00f3n de migrantes.<\/p>\n

El total de migrantes que este a\u00f1o ha ingresado a Panam\u00e1 por el Dari\u00e9n ya supera en m\u00e1s de 100 mil la cifra de todo el a\u00f1o anterior, cuando 248 mil personas hicieron esa traves\u00eda, rompiendo todos los registros migratorios anteriores por la jungla.<\/p>\n

En el \u00faltimo mes, un promedio de 2 mil 500 a 3 mil migrantes han llegado al pa\u00eds centroamericano diariamente desde Colombia.<\/p>\n

Sin embargo, Gozaine reconoci\u00f3 que el gobierno paname\u00f1o no podr\u00e1 realizar deportaciones masivas por falta de recursos, por lo que se centrar\u00e1n en primer lugar en las personas que tengan antecedentes penales.<\/p>\n

“Obviamente, tenemos recursos limitados, nos gustar\u00eda que si entran 3 mil personas [de manera irregular a Panam\u00e1] deportar a las 3 mil, pero es imposible, no es operativo”, dijo la funcionaria.<\/p>\n

Casi la mitad son venezolanos, aunque tambi\u00e9n destacan los haitianos, ecuatorianos y colombianos. Adem\u00e1s, hay asi\u00e1ticos, con un n\u00famero creciente de chinos, y africanos, sobre todo de Camer\u00fan.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
